Wishing everyone a beautiful peace filled day. Enjoy the sunshine. Squeeze your loved ones, tell them how much you love them. Be kind to each other. No matter what your spiritual beliefs the foundation should be love.

Yesterday was truly a blessed time. Not only did I get to see Maggie Jacobs for the first time in years, but I got to spend several very important hours with some of my closest friends in Kentucky, including Sandy Davis’ beloved bassets, Lily and Copper. They are her companions. They keep her grounded. They keep her engaged when she might otherwise lay on the couch for days and eat nothing by potato chips (we’ve all been there, except I eat ice cream). Honored with my soul dog Sadie for 17 years (1992-2009), I know the value of such a sentient being in one’s life. The bond is nearly indescribable. That’s why I simply say, ‘dog is god spelled backwards‘. Dogs love us unconditionally. They’re empaths, and comfort us when we don’t even know we need comforting. They make us laugh, and cry, and dance with joy. They give us a sense of purpose when we feel worthless. You are never completely alone with a soul dog in your life. And no matter how much we love our dogs, it’s never as much as they love us. My gratitude for dogs is boundless. dog is god spelled backwards – Happy Easter
