It was a day of cultivating young minds in Special Collections. A group of National History Day (NHD) students from (mostly) Martin County came to see Ruth Bryan, Stacie Williams, Nancy DeMarcus and I. Laid out for the super smart sixth graders were a host of artifacts including this Moby Dick pop-up book. I admire the kids that take up the NHD torch. They create great projects that teach others as much as the kids who produce them learn. I was proud to lend a hand. It made for a great way to start the weekend.
