“It’s so simple… What comes, let it come. What stays, let it stay.
And what goes, let it go.” ~ Papaji

Stacy Yelton and I met Pam Bick, Cassie Whitehouse, and Andrea Sayer-Brook at the Aronoff Center in downtown Cincinnati for the second Over The Rhine ballet. Their first foray with the Cincinnati Ballet was three years ago called Infamous Love Songs. The five of us went to that showing, too. It was a gorgeous performance; a creative combination of music and dance, and Over The Rhine’s music was perfect for the adventure. This new piece, simply called Cincinnati Ballet & Over The Rhine Live, borrows from Infamous Love Songs and expands the choreography. It, too, was beautifully crafted. The only thing that went wrong was the steel guitar for the song featured in the video below. He wasn’t just out of tune; I’m pretty sure he was in the wrong key. It was one of those moments that was so bad, as a performer, you just have to laugh. Sometimes you just have to act like you meant to do it. Wrong key and all, it was a gorgeous day of fantastic people and art. I couldn’t ask for much better.
