“Today is the most important day of our lives.” ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Where I don’t have many cousins like Stanya on my mother’s side of the family, I was blessed with a whole herd of ’em on dad’s. Above is Lisa, the baby girl of the family. Her recent relocation to Lexington made it possible for her to join the Shirley and Shorty Anniversary party planning and Aunt Barbara’s 69th Birthday dinner where I snapped this. I love catching iPhone flashes. They do cool things, but not as cool as cousins Missy and Renee whom I have come to depend on to make this party a success. Missy caters and Renee is darned crafty. They know all the cool things to do. Cousin Lanelle threw in a theme idea and, et voila, a fun party was planned. Meanwhile, the golden girls – Aunts Barb, Charlene, and Lois Nell (Mabel couldn’t be there) – seemed to enjoy us. My life would be empty without them. (LtoR: Lisa Terry, Lanelle Fisher, Barbara Shirmer, Charlene Vest, Lois Nell Wilson, (Mike Moore hidden), Melissa Moore, and Renee don’t-take-my-picture Watkins)
I threw in a sunset shot because I so rarely get a good view of the sunsets from my house that I have to soak them up extra good when I do.
