I had the opportunity to commune with nature for a bit in today’s extraordinary beauty. You know that feeling that you’re being watched? I had that feeling, and at my feet, I suddenly realized why. It was the same garter snake that has graced my yard for at least two seasons now, and no matter how much I like him, he still freaks me out when he slips up on me. Nevertheless, I’m grateful for my good luck charm.
