“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter… to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird’s nest or a wildflower in spring – these are some of the rewards of the simple life.” ~ John Burroughs

Our Shero finally landed at Cardinal Hill where she’ll spend the next three weeks learning to walk and other things she’ll need to continue independent living. We really missed her at dinner with the family down on the Kentucky River. There were about 20 of us Terry’s gathered just below Clay’s Ferry Bridge eating catfish and BBQ at Proud Mary’s. Dad thoroughly enjoyed it, and I’m looking forward to many more dates with the family when mom is back on her feet. We’re a good bunch of hillbillies in the Bluegrass.
