“Do not be afraid of your difficulty. Turn toward it. Learn to lean into the wind.” ~ Jack Kornfield

bride and groom

Reneé Collins and Warren Cobb got married today. She didn’t know. Well, she did eventually, but she didn’t before it happened. Warren, being the most confident man on the planet, never had a doubt she’d say yes. He planned a special ceremony at Red River Gorge with only themselves and their officiant. He lured Reneé by pitching it as a photo shoot. Once there he both popped the question and held the ceremony.  Fortunately, she said yes or things would have gotten super awkward up on that cliff. Warren wasn’t done with surprises. He had also planned a reception this evening at Twisted Cork, a small local bar where they hold their Listen Locally open mic every Sunday evening. He’d written us all beforehand to meet at the appointed time, and there we were when he led her in blindfolded. It was brilliant really. These two are meant for each other and they’re happy as can be. I was honored to be there to wish them many happy years together. Congratulations, Reneé and Warren! Rock on.
