It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.”

Look what our science librarians have mustered for the upcoming solar eclipse! Anyone who wanders into the library can get a pair of eclipse-friendly glasses so they can experience the eclipse safely. I got my pair today. Here’s hoping for clear skies on August 21st. I look forward to photographing the students on campus because you just know they’re gonna be out in droves with those funny little glasses. It’s a full eclipse just a couple hundred miles from here in Hopkinsville, but we’ll still be at 95% here in Lexington. That’s not too shabby. Fayette County schools are canceling classes so kids can get the full experience of this rare celestial event. Stay safe out there, all you heavenly body watchers, and have the right kind of glasses or don’t look at the sun. Those are your choices.
