If you think that peace and happiness are somewhere else and you run after them,
you will never arrive.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

I’ve been so busy this fall that I haven’t had time to deal with the yard. Couple that with summer’s unchecked overgrowth (a la nasty gallbladder business) because my neighbor thinks he lives in the country, and it makes for days of work. Seriously: days. A month ago I got everything chopped down. Then came the ice, snow, and rain. I thought I’d get it all cleaned up and to the curb today. Five hours and a sore back later, only half of what needs doing is done. I piled the rest into small mountains: debris in one mound, leaves in another. I’d be bummed, except there’s five hours less to do now. I’m grateful for that.
