This morning I got the whole story on Crackerjack. Dad didn’t find him, the bank manager did (Dad works for Bank of the Mountains, in case I’ve neglected to mention that). It was the manager that actually got the dog out of the road, and then he took him home for the night. The following day, when dad came to work, the manager asked dad to deliver the dog to the vet’s office as a stray. Dad obliged, but then he went straight home and told mom that he’d just dropped off an adorable dog that he named Crackerjack. That’s all it took, because she was in the car and at the vet’s toot sweet. Today, she bought him a booster seat for the car with a safety harness….and clothes. Oh lordy. He’s not spoiled at all.
