Therefore, the older I get, the more I enjoy life.” ~ Unknown
Meet Kris Tallio, my most awesome physical therapist. It didn’t take Kris long to realize the problem wasn’t my back, but my hip (I’ve been walking like an old woman for a while). He was convinced it was bursitis, while I was quietly certain it was arthritis that would result in hip replacement (there’s precedent). Last week he bent my leg like a pretzel, then used some medieval looking device to massage the bursa so deeply that I still look like I’ve been kicked by a horse. It sounds abusive, but the fact is that I walked out of there without pain for the first time in months. That’s bursitis and Kris is forever my hero. Not only is he incredible at what he does, he’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Plus, he’s a very cool dad. He took his daughter to a rock show last night, and was at work by 7am chipper as all get out. Look at him: Mr. Chipper Awesomeness. I am so, so, so thankful I found him.
