He was smart, perhaps the smartest of all, and completely understated in his intelligence. He was kind, quiet, observant. He was a simple man. He had a laugh like no one else. He favored my dad so much when he was younger, for a time some people got them confused. He could be serious or he could be funny (see the last photo). He adored his wife and son. He respected his brothers and sisters. He loved Rook and Kentucky Wildcat basketball. He was an excellent singer. He had a head of hair most men would kill for. James Trent Terry was a good, decent human being. Godspeed, uncle. Save me a place at the family table. 1958-2016
