You might remember meeting Darrell Conley when he and his wife, Barbara, came to the exhibit reception for Sacred Spaces. We see now the condition in which we find our hero. Sometimes those medical mistakes are a good thing, and that’s precisely so in this case. His CT scan technician, charged with scanning only the lungs, apparently went to sleep and scanned further down into his stomach. That’s how they found the aneurysm, large and ready to burst. Surgery ensued and now he’s on the mend. Our hero will be going home tomorrow, and has promised me that, when he’ has healed, we’ll go shooting together out in the beautiful countryside. I look forward to it.
