Remembering a wrong is like carrying a burden on the mind.” ~ Buddha

When Charlotte Webb started cutting my hair back in the stone age, she was singing Merle Haggard tunes at the top of her lungs and talking about the love of her life; her husband Rex. Like her, he’s a hoot. Today, he regaled me with travel adventures to hear Exile play some dive bar in Richmond in the 1970’s, followed by his belief that James Harrod came to this area by way of the Salt River not the Kentucky. Suddenly, in the middle of his argument, Charlotte belted out, “when the night closes in…” from Exile’s hit Kiss You All Over. The segue, or lack thereof, was so convoluted that we laughed ourselves into tears. Meanwhile, Rex never missed a beat in his story. I still love the Charlotte and Rex show all these years later.
