“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.” ~ Neil Gaiman

Warmth (Snapseed)

It’s been frigid in The Bluegrass for days. Perhaps that prompted the quiche perfection quest, what with the warm, delicious smelling kitchen and all. Today, I went back to work only to walk into my office and find it as cold as the great outdoors with a bonus steady stream of air blowing through the window across my mouse and keyboard. I’m here to tell you, that -1 outside had made itself at home in my office and I had to make alternate arrangements. Thanks to genetics and menopause, yours truly is permanently hot, but not today! Fortunately, we have computers in another room, and even that room was cold. At least it was bearable, so that’s where I spent my workday. And while the crisp, dry weather makes for some beautiful scenery, it was just way too cold to care. That brings me back to my warm quiche. May your day and night be as comforting as a warm quiche on a cold day.
