Everything can be taken from a man or a woman but one thing: [the freedom] to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances.” ~ Victor Frankl

I attended my first Robert Burns night. In all the years I’ve known Becky and Gordon I had never gone to a Rabbie Burns Birthday Bash. That’s important considering they’re members of the William Sutherland Reid Pipe and Drum band. Tonight, the band hosted and performed their 30th Burns Celebration. You might remember that I mentioned in an earlier post that Gordon is an excellent drummer. I think the photo above says a lot about him as a drummer and as a thoughtful human being. It’s by far my favorite of the night.

I’ve thrown in the two shots below just because I like ’em (and because I had 250 to choose from).

Great photos … I especially love the one of the skirts/boots. Awesome point of view. Nice work.

Thanks, Patricia! I had real trouble getting good angles. I would have had to get in front of seated folks and, well, that seemed rude. 🙂
