The ground is so dry it’s bulbous and rock hard. Healthy trees are dropping leaves like fall. The darkness on the horizon is the first in weeks and yet, not a drop falls from the sky. One good thing about drought is that there are no weeds or mosquitos. I’m grateful for that. I would like some rain, though. Here’s hoping it falls soon.
