You’ve met my awesome doctor friend Barbara Fleming-Phillips. I had the occasion to see her today because her equally awesome nurse, Karen Roberts, worked me in. For years these two women have taken good care of me along with some of my friends and colleagues. They listen, they share themselves, they laugh, and most importantly they care about their patients (plus they willingly let me take their picture). They understand what it is to help people, to heal them, and help them heal themselves. I dread the day they retire, but until that time comes, I remain ever grateful for their compassion and friendship.
