This is the year to meet all the people who inspire me, thanks in no small part to social media. They inspire me, make me laugh, make me think. They move me in ways that many people I see every day fail to do. Amy Gilliam is one of those people. The wife of an old friend, our friendship struck a resonate chord as soon as we spoke years ago. We finally met tonight as she passed through Lexington. She is feisty, honest, witty, smart as a tack, and snortably funny as all get out. And that was just on facebook. She’s all that and more in person. How did I get so lucky?
