Rowing harder doesn’t help if the boat is headed in the wrong direction.” ~ Kenichi Ohmae

outstanding in their field

I’ve mentioned before that workers are digging holes in “the bowl”. I’ve been completely fascinated by this drilling. Every day I see new pipes sticking out of the ground with black tubes protruding wildly into the air like errant facial hair. These machines, they pound the limestone until they break through to some thermal energy source hundreds of feet beneath us. I’m pleased that non-fossil fuels are being used. I’m concerned with the consequences. More than one hole tapped into the water table, creating 30-50 foot water geysers for short periods. It was like Yellowstone Park without the steam. The difference is Yellowstone is not man-made and I tend to trust God’s work more than ours.
