‘”This commandment I give you“, said Jesus,”Love thy neighbor as thy self.” “Do unto others,” and something about the meek inheriting the earth, not the self righteous and judgmental.”
~ Amanda Barker Keller
This has been an incredible week. The stars aligned and the creative juices have flowed like a river. I’ve been surrounded by some truly beautiful souls who bless me with their love and guidance. I’ve had more ideas than I’ve got time to manage, something I haven’t experienced in quite a while. I’m grateful for it, even if I can’t do everything. Meanwhile, the country has had quite the week, too. Same Sex marriage is now the law of the land, and people (some anyway) in the U.S. still have access to affordable health care. It is at once a great and tumultuous time. There is disagreement and anger sitting in the church pew next to love and compassion. I don’t like politics. I don’t like social badgering. I don’t like religious dogma, especially the hateful ones. I want no part of these things. They seem to bring out the worst in even the finest people, and I don’t have a good filter for it. So, I’m just going to keep taking pictures, find my happiness in my art and my loved ones, and try not to judge the way biblical scripture asks. Faith, hope, and love. The greatest of these is love. That’s what I choose. And a Canon 6D.
