“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.” ~ Dalai Lama XIV

After 31 years I finally made it to Seedtime on the CumberlandAppalshop’s annual music and arts festival in Whitesburg. I’m usually busy the first weekend in June, or I’d wimp out over crappy weather. Today was too beautiful not to go. I saw many old friends, made a few new ones, shared inspired conversation, and listened to some fantastic old time music. Next time I’ll stay overnight so I can see the Carcassonne Square Dance. It’s the oldest continuous square dance in the state. I listened to it on WMMT as I drove home. The caller sounded just like Bill Clinton, giving it a whole new twist. Every minute of this day renewed my soul.
