A few weeks ago I got a package from Dan Kibler. He goes to a lot of estate auctions and likes to send me little outhouse jokes. This gift was no joke. In fact, I nearly fell over when I realized who it is. Ann Nipper and I used to regale Dan with our recitation of Coal Miner’s Daughter, virtually word for word. Most people wouldn’t watch the movie with us because we knew it so well, and neither of us could keep our mouths shut. Poor Dan learned the hard way. That was nearly 25 years ago and he still remembers how much I love Loretta Lynn. Plus, it’s a dang awesome photo. I don’t know what I did to be blessed with such a wonderful gift, but it sure put a smile on my face.
