I never pass a magnolia tree that I don’t think about my best friend Angie Bliss Fanning. She had a beautiful magnolia tree in her yard. The goats liked it as much as she did. They showed their love by eating it to the ground. I’m sure it was delicious. She no longer has goats. Today is Angie’s 52nd birthday. When I passed this magnolia blossom I did as she asked; I stopped, took in the biggest breath of fragrance I could muster, and I smiled.
