Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend – or a meaningful day.” ~ Dalai Lama

in the neighborhood

I had a wonderful surprise visit with my friend and colleague, Ruth Bryan. She was in the neighborhood for the Clucklex urban chicken tour when she stopped in to say hello. Four hours later, we’d discussed the world’s problems while touring The Lodge Estate, and waxed poetic about long lived grandmothers, cats that don’t get along, and .6 acre city lots. I dare say, if we had another four hours to spend, we’d have no trouble filling it with more great conversation. It made my day.
