I had the best visit with Letha Drury and Cliff Sullivan at South Hill Gallery. You might remember Cliff from the library. He was laid off several months ago, but found a job immediately with Letha and husband Mike at their framing shop. It just so happens that I’ve been doing business with them since I was in college. They really helped me back then when I was a struggling artist. I’ve never forgotten their generosity. I don’t get in there as much as I used to, but Letha and I keep up with one another. I adore her; her kindness, her sense of humor, her politics – she’s a truly wonderful person, and Mike is, too. Of course, Cliff is all that and a bag of Doritos, so he fit right in. He took to framing like a duck in water, and he and Mike share a love of Kiss. It was a match made in heaven. It did my heart good to talk with them. Cliff’s so happy. Letha and Mike are happy. I’m happy. All is right with the world when the good people find each other.
