Rain: a soothing end to a very busy week. The jury’s out on whether rain or human intervention caused the sand sculpture by the UK Art Museum to become…compromised. It was interesting to see how they formed the sand from which to sculpt. They packed the sand into molds like a wedding cake. I had a sculptor prof in college that warned against sculpting anything that could be used as a candy bowl. That’s exactly what this reminded me of. Still, it’s good and held up reasonably well in the weather. I hope they do more sand sculptures.
