“Don’t give up climbing your mountain!” ~ Pablo De La Rosa

always a good sport
always a good sport

I can’t believe that in almost four years of the outhouse I have never introduced you to Dr. Beth Miller. I started taking allergy shots under her supervision five or six years ago. For some time now I’ve wondered why I’d never photographed her. She has always been kind. It’s not like we don’t get along and have great conversation with a good hearty laugh. We do. Every visit is like that.  So, how has she eluded the outhouse? My visit to her two months ago showed me how: she’s extraordinarily busy. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a busier doctor in my life. No matter how much time we spend together, it has always felt a serious imposition to slow her down with so many other people waiting for her help. When I went in today, however, she was more relaxed and unhurried than I’d ever seen. I seized the opportunity. I asked if her staff had ever mentioned me with my camera (Bobbi Jo Wilson Russell and Barbara Faulkner McNeal were feature in the first year of the outhouse). They had not. When I began to tell her about the outhouse she immediately stopped to ask, “Wait, you’re going to take a picture of me and put it on an outhouse?” This is why I adore Dr. Miller. She is so dang funny. She is also a very, very good sport, and willing participant. I love my life, and I love all the people who look after me. Dr. Miller is one of those people. Welcome to the outhouse!

What a great photo of beautiful Dr. Miller and your comments really capture her warmth. I have been to her several times this past year and think she is fabulous — in all ways. Nice to see her in the Outhouse.

Oh hurray!!!! I’m so glad to hear I faithfully described her. Glad, too, that she’s helping you. She rocks.
