Be content with what you have, rejoice in the way things are.
When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.

surprise!

BFF Stacy Yelton turned 50 years old and I, for the first time that I ever recall, pulled off a surprise birthday party. For two months we all kept our mouths shut, talking amongst ourselves, planning, planning: Annie Bassoni brought the leis and balloons, Sandy Davis brought party hats, blowers, and a copy of Erin Chandler’s impossible-to-find Lost in the Pershing Point Hotel movie, Heidi Morrow made with love the most delicious birthday cake I’ve ever tasted, sisters Kelly Barnes and Pam Bick came from out of state, Bryan, Jen, and Abby Bartlett brought the very funny “30th Birthday” balloon, Catherine Brereton, Susan Stewart, Reinette Jones, Kathy Schifflett, Eric and Riley Morrow, Terry Keys – who told me I look like Ingrid Bergman, Becky Ryder, Deb Chenault, Ken Trainor, and Crystal Heis, who helped me tag-team the photos (below), rounded out an absolutely perfect moment in time. I was as excited as if it was my party. So much love I can’t stop smiling. I might be smiling until 2013 at this rate.
