“Freedom lies in being bold.” – Robert Frost
My tiny Japanese maple turns a deep maroon in the fall. This morning I made myself late for work so I could stop and take it in. Some things are worth being late for. I bought this tree the first fall in my house for a whopping $8 closeout price. It was just a tiny stick, so small it had to have a bamboo pole to keep it erect. It has really grown in the last two years. The support stick is gone, and it’s more beautiful now than ever. I love this little tree.
