It has been a day of doctors. That sounds like a depressing day, I know. Quite the contrary, it was good. It started with a crown prep by my uber-awesome dentist, Morgan County native, and a distant cousin (of course), Dr. Jim Hill. He helped me overcome a fear of anesthesia in my mouth, caused 10 years ago by a really, really bad dentist. I’m not afraid of much, but a needle in my mouth tells my brain that I’m about to have a heart attack (seriously). <insert panic> Dr. Hill and his assistant, Miranda, were just super, and I doubt I’ll have any further issues now that they’ve restored my faith in good dentistry. A few hours later, mom reported that her doctor’s visit concerning a potentially serious MRI find was, in fact, completely benign. Another prayer answered. And finally, Stacy Yelton, who has been home after undergoing a surgical procedure last week, had her follow-up appointment. She got a two-thumbs-up report, and took me for a hot fudge sundae to celebrate. Here, we see our fearless leader smiling happily in the reflection of her beloved tree, appropriately named Grace. There was a lot of grace today.
