I was at Buffalo Trace lending Crystal Heis a hand for a shoot. I’d never been to the distillery before, and I didn’t have time to take a proper tour. Crys had also never been to Buffalo Trace. We concluded that we need a photo field day starting with Buffalo Trace. We thought maybe we’d do the whole Bourbon Trail, but soon realized we couldn’t possibly do that and survive. One distiller or the whole trail, I don’t care; any time I spend shooting with Crystal is time well spent. I’ve known her for more than half her life at this point. Sometimes you don’t realize how important a new friend is going to be in your life until much, much later. She is the little sister I always wanted, but she’s so much better than I could have asked for. She’s way smarter than me, and with a heart of gold. I’ve been grateful for her since day one. I don’t see that changing.
