“Most of us never stop to consider our blessings; rather, we spend the day only thinking about our problems. But since you have to be alive to have problems, be grateful for the opportunity to have them.”
~ Bernie Siegel

looking forward

My first cousin Richard Terry was looking over this beautiful Eastern Kentucky valley from the hilltop where we laid his dad, Uncle Greg, to rest today. I found Rick’s survey of the valley profound somehow. Our cousin Michael preached the service, and he talked about never looking back. In fact, he had a conversation with Greg about not looking back, only forward. Greg had it right. Rick has it right. He is his father’s son, after all, and one of my all-time favorite people.
