Wendy's city
Wendy’s city

I had to catch a connecting flight to Madison, Wisconsin at Chicago’s O’Hare. My flight from Lexington was 45 minutes late due to last week’s sabotage fire. It was completely worth the wait. I’ve never seen Lake Michigan so blue. I thought of my friend, Wendy Bright. She adores Chicago and writes about it regularly. No doubt she would have enjoyed this view. True to its name, the wind near the city made for some choppy moments that had me slamming into the window with the camera. I tried not to put my eye out. I managed to keep my sight long enough to snap the bottom shot of the moon rise over Wisconsin’s capital building. Judy Sackett and I had a fabulous time trolling State Street and its billion restaurants. A grand day it was indeed.
