There are several ducks to enjoy the water between the Lincoln Memorial and the World War II Memorial. What I never seemed to notice before in photos of the Reflecting Pool is just how shallow and filthy it is. You don’t want to fall into it, trust me. No matter, it’s a beautiful setting for Lincoln’s Memorial. It’s an exquisite view that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. must have surely appreciated during his historic speech. Good things happen here.
