This is Bob Crovo and Jeff “Podge” Rion. You met Podge before back in December 2013. They came by my office today to lend a hand with my old Mac Pro. They’re the tour de force of UK Libraries desktop support. These guys are basically responsible for keeping hundreds of machines alive and kicking, from all the staff machines to the public machines in the main library and almost all of the 14 branches. I’m never sad to see them, although you might think I should be because it usually means something’s gone wrong. But we always have great talks, and lots of laughs. Plus, they’re relaxed. They don’t get uptight about much of anything. These two shots are quintessential Bob and Podge. God, how I love them!
