“When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves”. ~ William Arthur Ward

perspective

Over the last few months, Stacy has returned to things she loves like playing guitar and photography. It’s really important to do things you love. They don’t have to be big endeavors or expensive hobbies. Perhaps you love reading or gardening or long walks. These activities can feed parts of your soul that nothing else can nourish. Never forget to feed your soul.

“Our time here is magic! It’s the only space you have to realize whatever it is that is beautiful, whatever is true, whatever is great, whatever is potential, whatever is rare, whatever is unique, in. It’s the only space.” ~ Ben Okri

Craggy Gardens

It rained much of the day. Not a deluge like they’ve had in Western North Carolina recently, but a slow, gray drizzle. However, by late afternoon, the sky got interesting. We ascended the Blue Ridge Parkway. I did a little HDR bracketing and talking to God. The air smelled heavenly, the temp equally perfect, and some of the rhododendrons were even still blooming. There just wasn’t enough time to soak it all up, but I did the best I could. I could never get tired of such majesty. Mercy, our blue planet is gorgeous.

“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” ~ Gail Devers

frontier

I finally had the chance to get away for a day, so I loaded up the car with my cameras and Stacy Yelton and off to Asheville, North Carolina we went. The traffic was horrid, making a long drive longer, but a rainy sunset from the Blue Ridge Parkway was totally worth it. The overcast sky and distant rain shower set a mystical scene. Stacy snapped a beautiful wide-angle shot of it. I zeroed in on the cascading mountains. We live on a beautiful planet with endless possibilities. Carpe diem.
