“People do not decide to become extraordinary. They decide to accomplish extraordinary things.” ~ Edmund Hillary

social distance family time (snapseed)

Nursing Homes in Kentucky were the first to observe social distancing practices against COVID-19. We haven’t seen Aunt Janet in person for weeks now. But today the nursing home set her up with video chat and we had the chance to see one another safely. I feel so bad for Janet and the other elderly folks who can’t see their families. They can’t even eat dinner together anymore. And the staff – I can’t say enough great things about what they’re ding, risking their lives and the lives of their families to care for others day and night. And the folks at the Wolfe County Rehab Facility, where Janet is, are just as kind as they can be. Blessings to them and to all the people out there on the front lines of this pandemic: from nurses to grocery store clerks. May they be safe. May they stay safe.
