While Mom and Dad appeared on the evening news with the governor (he was in West Liberty again helping with tornado recovery), I gave a talk to the Morgan County Camera Club also in West Liberty. The governor and I did not coordinate our visits, contrary to what you may have heard. Anyway, I had SO much fun with this group. We talked about shooting at night, shooting under florescent lights, HDR, photoshop actions, and software in general. Their expertise level ran the gamut, so everyone had something to contribute, not just me. And there was laughter – much, much laughter. I felt welcomed and encouraged and just so honored to be speak about my work. I think we’re even going shooting together, which just tickles me no end. I must be living right to be this blessed.

Our Photo Club members may seem crazy at times but we always have fun. We are so anxious to learn anything that will help us be better photographers. Thanks, Kopana, for the informative and interesting presentation.

Kopana, thanks so much for coming to speak. My wife Reanna and I are new to the club, so we’re literally just learning our new camera and the art of photography. You inspired us to take some night shots last night!!! We went up to the hospital since it overlooks town, and we took some pictures down into town. They really turned out great! We tried out some different ISO’s just to learn more about what each setting was like. Thanks again for sharing your gift of photography with us newbies. We greatly appreciate it! Looking forward to following your blog and your work.

The pleasure was all mine, David, and I’m SO glad to hear you went to work straight away! I’d love to see what you did. I also very much look forward to shooting together sometime soon. You’ll have plenty to teach me!
