“Better an ‘oops’ than a ‘what if.'” ~ Unknown

I always, always, always have the wrong lens with me when I go home and yesterday was no different, unfortunately. Nevertheless, the front moving through was so beautiful that I had to stop at least once and try to capture the low cloud fog rolling across Cave Run Lake. The excess rain we’ve had in the last week has pushed a lot of debris downstream. You can’t really make it out in the photos (wrong lens), but it was interesting to see a current full of floating trees where there’s usually placid water. The whole atmosphere was gorgeous to me. Fog gripping the edge of a mountain like velcro, nestling into hollows, heavy with rain hovering just above the ground like a mother at the end of a long day ready to lay down her weary bones. Winter can be beautiful even without the snow.
