The last day of the mini vacation saw daytime temps drop dramatically even though the sun remained deliciously bright. We took our time leaving Nashville, Indiana, waving goodbye to Seymour and Richard as we headed south. I yawned like a cat sunning itself in the car window as we drove past the gorgeous horse farms marred by endless electrical lines along Highway 60 into Versailles. Apart from the lines, the view is truly second to none, even in winter. I’m thankful my folks could hold down the fort, and I’m especially grateful to Stacy for getting me out of town. Vacations don’t have to be large productions. I like these little outings every bit as much.
