They began the demolition of the Haggin Hall dorms last week while I was away. Today was my first look at the destruction. I know things get outdated sometimes, but it really bothers me how we, as a country, have this slash and burn mentality when something’s a little old or in the way. I’d like to see our administrators and developers embrace old things and learn how to deal with their upgrade and upkeep instead of just tearing them down and building something else that has no meaning to anyone outside those whose pocketbook they lined. You’ll notice the building just in front is K-Lair without the signature K atop the entrance. It’s next to fall. It’s like saying goodbye to a friend.
