“Focus on blessing others, not impressing them.
Kindness is far more powerful than competition.”
~ Anna Taylor
There’s an old smokehouse on Uncle Harold’s farm. I love it. It’s falling in on itself. The roof is covered in moss, the white paint peeling like dead skin. It sits beneath a large chestnut tree. Yesterday, dad and I took a walk, passing the smokehouse and chestnut tree. Fallen hulls crumbled beneath our weight. Children’s laughter echoed against the hills. The smell of wet earth tickled my nose. It’s a tender snapshot I’ll cherish for a long time to come.
