“Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” ~ John Wooden

I had the great opportunity to finally meet Robert Treadway. We made our connection through Stacy Yelton, but for some reason the Universe never saw fit for us all to meet in person until now, which is a little odd considering the number of people, places, and values we have in common. Robert was a Harvard educated Lawyer (clearly one thing we don’t have in common) who helped a high number of cases that nobody else would touch. Basically, he championed the underdog. That alone would have been enough to make me love him, but there’s so much more to him than that. He is thoughtful, conscientious, honest, and open: so refreshing. And he’s really good friends with Nick Stump, and any friend of Stump’s is a friend of mine. Not only is Robert’s heart in the right place, but he has overcome adversities that would have crippled most other people. I admire his resilience, and the fact that he remains kind. He reminds me so much of Bruce McCain, in looks and spirit, that I can’t quite believe how lucky I am to know them both. I must be living right. I can’t wait for our next great conversation.
