Some people came from Tennessee to visit mom and dad this weekend. They met several years ago when mom and dad were vacationing in Sevierville. They hit it off immediately. They have visited with them a couple of times since, but I had never met them until today. After a full day of fun in West Liberty yesterday, the whole lot of them came to Lexington for some fun and fellowship today. After they went to the Horse Park this morning, we all met at the Distillery District for Goodfella’s pizza and Crank and Boom ice cream. Then we popped down the street to McConnell Springs for a quick humid, educational walk before the skies opened up and rained buckets. There’s little more strange than water falling on one side of a shelter but not on the other. Everyone enjoyed their day; the food, the hike, and the company. A good time was had by all. [Original post altered for reasons that remind us that it’s very important the outhouse only focus on people without issues.]
